As the name suggests, Guardian Events deal with the Guardians introduced by the Leviathians DLC. They Govern the quest-chains for encountering, interacting and defeating the Guardians. However they also govern Enclave Interactions

guardian.9[edit]

A triggered event that will establish "Communication" with the Guardian Country. Most checks for having met one go for this communication.


guardian.4[edit]

This triggered Event will check if the number of Fleets for the Guardian Country is lower than 1 (which means all parts of it were killed). It will then triggered guardian.5

guardian.5[edit]

The Notification part of guardian.5. Only option: Okay (no effect).

guardian.10 and .11[edit]

These events give trust to the enclave, if they are within ones borders.

guardian.96, .97, .98, .99[edit]

These deal with Finding and Contacting an Enclave.

.96 establishes the special Project. The only option is to investigate

.97 will have the Enclave establish contact after 300 days.

.98 is the Enclave Establishing Contact. It will grant T1 contact Influence (T1 Contact Xenophile if Empire is Xenophile). It will then Trigger the introduction event for that Enclave (.101, .301 or .501). There are two options, depending on if they Empire is Fanatic Purifier or not.

.99 is if the Empire established Contact. It awards T2 Contact Influence (more of Xenophile). It will then trigger the Introduction event.

guardian.101 and following[edit]

These events make the menus for interacting with the Trade Enclaves

guardian.300 and following[edit]

These events deal with the Artist Enclave. Not that there is only one Artist Enclave country, even if it has multiple Stations.

.300 is the Artist main menu, with special responses if one recently picked any deal

guardian.303[edit]

This is about hiring the Artist for the Festival of Worlds. It will set the modifier for 5 years, a timed Flag for 20 years, trigger guardian.314 after 5 years and .309 directly.

guardian.304[edit]

This is the patronage Menu. There are several mutually exclusive Options, depending on population:

  • <61: 1000 Energy
  • >60 and <121: 2000 Energy
  • >120 and <181: 3000 Energy
  • >180 and <241: 4000 Energy
  • >240: 5000 Energy

All options give Patronage Modifier for 10 years, .306 after 30 days (trust gain from Patronage loop), .320 directly (followup events), .308 after 1 year (counts years for achievements), .319 after 10 years (renewal).

guardian.309[edit]

The festival Events Gateway event. It picks which Festival Event happens based on following weights:

  • 10 (times 1.5 if any Materialist): .310 triggers after 250 days, +/-25 days
  • 10 (times 1.5 if any Xenophile or any Pacifist): .311 triggers after 150 days, +/-25 days
  • 5 (times 1.5 if any Xenophobe or any Materialist: .312 triggers after 300 days, +/-50 days
  • 75: Nothing happens

guardian.310[edit]

People get Trampeled. A random Planet is picked. The option is either paying 100 Influence or acquiring a negative modified for 2 years. After either option a random pop on the planet is killed.

guardian.311[edit]

This event has Artist Pops wanting to move in. A random owned planet with at least 3 free tiles is picked. 2 Options:

  • Accept. Two pops of the Artist Enclave species a generated on the target planet, with Xenophile Ethics. Their Habitability is then changed to match that planet.
  • Decline. Nothing happens

guardian.312[edit]

Artisans steal resources and flee. Artisans refuse to communicate for 10 years. The only option will end the Festival, cost 500 energy, 500 minerals.

guardian.319[edit]

Patronage Renewal. Always costs only 1000 Energy

guardian.320[edit]

Patron Event Gatekeeper. Picks an Event based on the following weighted list:

  • 20 (*2 if no Patron event thus far; *5 if <5 newsletters; *0 if more >4 newsletters): Triggers .321 (newsletter) after 500 days, +/-1000
  • 20 (*0 if already appeared this term); .322 after 500 days, +/- 1000 days
  • 20 (*0 if already appeared this term); .323 afer 500 days, +/- 1000 days
  • 20 (*0 if already appeared this term); .324 after 500 days, +/- 1000 days
  • 20 (*0.2 if no Patron event thus far; *1.10 for each of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th option that happened): Do nothing

guardian.321[edit]

Depending on value of artist_newsletter variable, will display on of 4 texts. The options are:

  • Convert 500 Minerals into 100 influence
  • Unsubscribe form the newsletter for this term

It will then queue 320 to trigger again in 60 days +/-30 days

guardian.322[edit]

This even allows to buy the "Ministry of Culture" Empire unique building for 1000 Energy and Minerals. It then triggers 320 after 100 days +/-25 days.

guardian.323[edit]

The Artists have nothing to report. Options:

  • Ignore this Failure. Add 10 Trust and triggers .320 after 100 days, +/- 25 days
  • Demand a refund. Cancel patronage. -3 Trust. +500 Energy, +500 Minerals

guardian.324[edit]

Some machine broke down and the Artist ask if you want the scrap. Options:

  • Take Scrap. +500 Minerals
  • Repair Machine. +50 Influence.

Buy Star charts. Goes over unsurveyed Systems, depending on proximity to Capitol System. Will Survey all Objects in System except the Wraith Pulsar.

guardian.507[edit]

Buy research Assistance. Cost scales with population:

  • <61: 1000 Energy
  • >60 and <121: 2000 Energy
  • >120 and <181: 3000 Energy
  • >180 and <241: 4000 Energy
  • > 240: 5000 Energy

All variants grant Curator_insight for 10 years. And triggers guardian.509 after 10 years (removes Flags)
