The Terrans are a warp-capable humanoid species from the Alpha Quadrant.

Overview[edit]

Originating from the planet Earth, Terrans are widely known for their racist and xenophobic policies. They tend to follow a simple paradigm - the strongest survives - and gain ranks and political power by murdering their rivals or superiors. Such values as cooperation, freedom and equality are considered dangerous fantasies and were abandoned long time ago, being replaced with oppression and violence.

Terrans possess a high natural sensitivity towards the bright light.

Terran Empire[edit]

The Terran Empire is a repressive interstellar government, created and controlled by the Terrans. It's origins go back to the Earth's pre-warp history, possibly for hundreds of years.

Terran Empire's initial territory

During the first contact event with the Vulcans on April 5, 2063, Terrans have assassinated the crew of the alien ship and captured it. Using technology, obtained from it, the Empire has invaded and occupied Vulcan. After this victory Terrans have continued their crusade, aggressively attacking and destroying or enslaving any alien species in their way.

By 2150, the Terran Empire controls approximately 10 star systems and 7 planets: Earth, Mars, Vulcan, P'Jem, Andoria, Tellar Prime and Denobula. Hovewer, one or two planets will be taken in the alien uprising, be that Coalition of Hope or one of the race-specific rebellions (Vulcan, Andorian or Tellarite). It's initial fleet variates from 13 to 16 Emmette-class frigates.

Greetings, Legatus Augusti.

Since time immemorial, Terra is ours. Not only its soil but its blood, its very flesh and now, the very stars that shine down to our hallowed Earth. Luna is ours. Mars is ours. The vermin species that scurry in the dark, that used to plot how they shall conquer our home, are ours too. Their bodies, their planets, their technology, their very souls, are ours to do with as we please. For daring to land their vanguard on Earth, we have taken their ship, and then their empire. Now they shall suffer, for ten thousand years more.

For too long we have strove, quenching one rebellion after another, bickering between ourselves, diminishing the glory of the empire. Heresy, nothing short of heresy. But now there is a non-human slave at every manor, food on every table. Now is the time to be alive, to be truly human. They all will see what we can do, and all shall feel the might of the Terran Empire.

Gameplay[edit]

Initial setup[edit]

In order to play as the Terran Empire, player must select United Earth in the "New Game" empire selection screen, and then proceed to picking any map which is marked as "Mirror Universe Scenario". Selecting any other country on the Mirror universe map will result in Terran Empire spawning under the AI control.

Events[edit]

Future advantage[edit]

The first Terran event chain which starts approximately in the year 2152. The rebellion tears the Terran Empire apart, the Imperial Starfleet is on the verge of defeat, and yet there still is a last, best hope - a futuristic ship from the other dimension.

Rebellion![edit]

The Terran Empire has been oppressing the alien races they've subjugated for too long and they are now beginning to rise up against their Terran masters in the (system name) system.

The planet has been taken over by these rebellious aliens and they have ships in orbit ready to strike against the Terran Empire.

  • Wipe these aliens out!

The Coalition of Hope is formed, taking one or several Terran Empire's systems, and declares war against player.

  • Become the Coalition of Hope.

The Coalition of Hope is formed, taking one or several Terran Empire's systems. Player switches to controlling the Coalition and declares war against Terran Empire.


Last Hope[edit]

The Rebels have the Terran Empire outnumbered and outgunned. Defeat is inevitable, although Terran Empire Fleet Command does its best to put out propaganda to state otherwise. However all may not be lost just yet...

An intelligence report has come in detailing an experiment a rogue Tholian faction has undertaken, whereby they managed to open an inter-dimensional rift and coax a starship through from another universe. Quantum dating of the hull has revealed that the ship is from a hundred years in the future. And most important of all - it's a Terran ship!

This could be the Terran Empire's last hope. If the ship was captured and turned against the Rebels, the Rebellion may be finished and the Terran Empire stronger than ever!


Alternative description - Terran Empire's War Exhaustion is lower than 50

While the Rebels have been on the defensive for much of the war, their efforts against the Terran Empire could still prevail should another empire decide to take advantage of the situation and choose this moment to invade.

However there may be a way to mitigate that risk...

A Megastructure which allows player to recommission ENT Era Combat Vessels, will eventually also be able to recommission TOS and TMP Era Ships as well.
