Does Stellaris not use YAML 1.1? Having the Merge Key working would make modding the main interface a whole lot easier. Being able to insert localisation lines rather than having to overwrite the entire l_language.yml file...or am I missing a trick here? -EtoileLion (talk) 13:57, 10 May 2016 (CEST)
Hi I'm having a problem. I created a mod and it appears in the launcher but my prescripted country does not appear in game. Can you please help me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 22.214.171.124 (Talk) 13:52, 15 May 2016 (CEST)
- I think it is better if you ask question in the Stellaris forum or even better the user mods subforum. – Lillebror (talk) 19:29, 15 May 2016 (CEST)
Do we have somewhere to organize guides or references to the internal organization? I don't want to clutter up this page with references that it doesn't already have a place for, but it seems like something that needs a hub. --InfiniteGremlin (talk) 18:45, 20 May 2016 (CEST)
- Ideally, this page should be the hub, and the specifics moved to other pages. ~ Meneth (talk) 11:21, 21 May 2016 (CEST)
- Use UTF-8 with BOM for localisation files.
That may be, but it won't work if you don't.
Atom recommendation appropriateness
With the recommendation to use UTF-8 BOM my understanding is that Atom does not support this https://github.com/atom/encoding-selector/issues/18
While it is an otherwise good text editor, is it appropriate to recommend an editor that cannot produce the suggested output earlier in the article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Systemchalk (talk) 02:31, 17 January 2018 (CET)
- I've checked through and I agree. It has been removed for now. Dauth (talk) 10:50, 17 January 2018 (CET)
Suggest "Last verified for" column in overwrite section
Since the procedure for overwriting specific elements is known to change by version and is highly piecemeal, I suggest that a column be added to the table for "Last verified for". That way, individual categories can be updated bit-by-bit as they come up while modding, even without the entire table being verified all at once, and problematically-out-of-date information can be more easily noticed and thus checked.
