Psionic Theory tech (is it up to date for 1.9?)[edit]

Just want to know if it's up to date. I know this wiki is official but still may be incorrect. 5.166.10.13 09:29, 21 January 2018 (CET)

When viewed on a non-mobile browser you can see the version tag at the top of the page. This page is versioned for 1.9 meaning it is up to date. Dauth (talk) 11:21, 21 January 2018 (CET)

Regeerative Hull Tissue[edit]

It should be noted somewhere that Regenerative Hull Tissue does NOT require Debris analysis. Simply researching the Amobes is good enough. 64.203.14.29 21:48, 28 June 2018 (CEST) 64.203.14.29 19:57, 30 June 2018 (CEST)

Two-parter question[edit]

First, is it objectively better to stick your Maniacal scientist if you have one on Society once you get a tier 3 tech drawn? Second, this might be better in talk:Traits, but why is the Military Theory expertise trait description different than all the other specialty traits?

Tech required for Administrative Park?[edit]

Which tech is required for Administrative Park? It doesn't seem to be listed anywhere here or on the Buildings page

Colonial Bureaucracy. I'll update the tech pages once I'm done with tomorrow's updates. Kami-sama (talk) 01:18, 12 May 2020 (UTC)

What's with the Housing section?[edit]

The section of the table labeled "Housing" has a number of techs in it that appear to have nothing to do with either housing or each other.

Wrong with Gene Seed Purification[edit]

Without Utopia DLC, we can get this tech randomly after gene tailoring. But if we get Utopia DLC, we cannot get this tech randomly(factor = 0), and have to get engineered evolution Ascension perk to unlock this tech. Now the wiki describe this tech contraryly.

Wording on the chart confused me into accidentally changing it to incorrect info before learning about this.
Should both ways of obtaining the tech be listed - randomly after Gene Tailoring without Utopia, but only after getting Engineered Evolution with Utopia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.254.189.66 (talk) 22:56, 13 April 2021 (CEST)

Sorting List of Technologies Table by Weights & Modifiers Column Mystery[edit]

Sorting said table by said column appears to have broken in this edit (the 2.6 update): https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/index.php?title=Society_research&diff=46278&oldid=45157.

Since then (up until the temporary fix i recently applied) sorting by the weights column appears to sort as strings instead of as numbers (so that the sort order is something like 90 - 50 - 30 - 100 instead of 100 at the top). In some sense i've isolated the problematic row to the Agriculture header (this line:

|- | colspan="9" style="text-align:center" | Agriculture

). Removing that line from the version of the page before i implemented my temporary fix (i.e. removing it from https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/index.php?title=Society_research&oldid=55020) causes the table to sort properly. But i have no idea why. I've tried things like renaming Agriculture to something else (Agriculture is the first section heading alphabetically), moving the line to other spots (which seems to have varying results), leaving the line in and removing the lines above and below the problematic one. I'm mostly at a loss.

One odd thing i noticed, which may or may not be related, is that all these header rows have colspan="9" while there are only 8 columns, which seems wrong.

Anyhow, i added a data-sort-type="Number" to the weights column to force it to sort numerically. If anyone figures out what the heck is going on it would very much sate my curiosity. I may return to this mystery at some point. --Alleryn (talk) 07:27, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
