When on small screens these borders are often trimmed and you get an ugly result. Does anyone have an idea for a better method of highlighting the technologies? Dauth (talk) 13:45, 10 May 2016 (CEST)

Maybe use a small box that has the colored outline? That way the text inside can be rearranged and, at the same time, the box would prevent trimming. KaTiON (talk) 13:54, 10 May 2016 (CEST)

Color adjustment[edit]

Can someone change these colors a bit? I'm colorblind and the Orange and Green are too close in temperature for me to tell apart when looking at either individually. Using the Color Calculator (https://www.sessions.edu/color-calculator/) I think I put together a good set in my scratch area. The Orange and green have a more distinct temperature, and I made some small tweaks to the other colors to balance. - Azryyal (talk) 18:27, 24 October 2016 (CEST)

The colors are based on their in-game coloring. I'm open to changes, but would like for the following to be based on the colors: debris - brown, danger - red, rare - purple. If it's just the ones you mentioned I'd rather change only them instead of all the colors. ~ SolSys (talk) 19:09, 24 October 2016 (CEST)
Hrm. Are you sure that brown is correct? The tech article says orange for debris, not brown. (What did I change them too? I can't speak colors well...) Too many games don't check their colors for colorblindness. We shouldn't slave ourselves too tightly to the hues. You can see how various types of colorblindness see things at VisCheck (http://www.vischeck.com/). But no, I don't really care what the end result is as long as I can easily see the distinction. PDX's color scheme[edit]

A few months/years ago I did post asking PDX to come of the red/green colour axis for bad/good. They were moderately interested and then released HOI4 and Stellaris on the red/green. I'm happy to lend my name to another attempt to change things. Dauth (talk) 00:12, 25 October 2016 (CEST)
