Weapon Categories

Each weapon type is roughly split into three categories: a tier 1 (5 increasingly better modules), a tier 2 (3 improved modules, plus 2 large slot only improved modules), and utility tier that varies depending on the weapon type.

The table below omits some details (specific damage amounts, etc) that varies on upgrade and focuses on the consistent features of each category important for fleet composition. The range and accuracy numbers are for the large sized weapon in each category, for the purposes of comparison. Noted bonuses are shared for all sizes and upgraded modules in that category.

Energy
