Versioning[edit source]

Please do not remove the versioning templates. Update the number to the major patch version you have updated/checked the page/section for. – Lillebror (talk) 09:55, 27 October 2016 (CEST)

How exactly does the version number work? Should there be one per Article? Or one Per seection? What about 2nd and 3rd order Subsections? Will the first be used (for the article identification, the lowest on the page or something else? --The Founder (talk) 12:12, 27 October 2016 (CEST)

In general, there should be an SVersion tag on every major subsection. Page Version are based on the lowest SVersion in the page. For example, the AI personalities page has 4 tags [1 + 3]. ~ SolSys (talk) 13:09, 27 October 2016 (CEST)

For the sections on a page can you use the SVersion template instead of Version please? The Version template should only be called once per page (at the top) and should be equal to the lowest number shown in the SVersions. This means we'll know which sections of the pages will need to be updated. Thanks. Dauth (talk) 12:55, 31 October 2016 (CET)

My bad. SVersion did not work because I used non-capital letters. That explains it --The Founder (talk) 12:57, 31 October 2016 (CET)
No worries, I've had that problem too. Dauth (talk) 13:00, 31 October 2016 (CET)
Any chance we could add templtes like that to the Help Function? Keep not finding it in there. --The Founder (talk) 13:01, 31 October 2016 (CET)
Its been a long time since I've used a help section on the PDX wikis, which one do you mean? Dauth (talk) 13:04, 31 October 2016 (CET)
The one in the Artikle Edit view (for thsi section: http://www.stellariswiki.com/index.php?title=User_talk:The_Founder&action=edit&section=1). Wikitext Tab -> Help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Founder (talk) 13:14, 31 October 2016 (CET)
They're the help functions built into the extension software as opposed to our templates. Its not impossible but I think its going to be more trouble that its worth. I've just had a word with Meneth and he agrees its a pain to do. Dauth (talk) 13:19, 31 October 2016 (CET)

I've made a redirect that now {{sversion}} works to. – Lillebror (talk) 15:02, 31 October 2016 (CET)

Confirmation for Chage[edit source]

Somebody without a account added this section: "If the Enigmatic Observers or the Keepers of Knowledge were awakened before the crisis they will stop their vassalization plans and attempt to rally the galaxy instead. This attitude persists even after the crisis is stopped." The thing is, nothing in the gamefiles tell so. Guardian awakening only affects country_type = fallen_empire, back in the Crisis files. And the first thing awakening does is change the coutry type to awakened_fallen_empire, so it should no longer be able to guardian awaken. It could still be a change in AI behavior (some patchnotes mentioned them "going into thier Crisis Fighter AI during a War in Heaven by accident"), but if so that is not documented or considered for in the files. --The Founder (talk) 14:03, 23 December 2016 (CET)

They've posted on my userpage before and everyting else they've added has been correct. This edit also follows from my observations in an albeit small number of games. I'm willing to give this edit the benefit of the doubt but we will remove it if its shown to be incorrect. Dauth (talk) 13:03, 24 December 2016 (CET)

Future content[edit source]

In general unreleased future content is not displayed on the wiki - this is done to avoid dealing with speculative content that still undergo constant changes/testing. I've moved the Unity page content to your userpage in case you want to work on it and re-post it when 1.5 is out. ~ SolSys (talk) 16:53, 9 February 2017 (CET)

Contest hint[edit source]

You'll get more tickets when you update a page if you put the Sversion templates in too. {{SVersion|1.5}} is the code to put the template in for 1.5 content. It won't appear on the page but until 1.6 releases, at that point we'll know what needs work. Dauth (talk) 14:45, 6 April 2017 (CEST)

Playstyles page[edit source]

The page hasn't been fixed, however as you put a lot of effort into it I've put a copy of the existing text onto the following page User:The_Founder/Playstyles. If you want integrate the content into the Jargon and beginners guides you can. Dauth (talk) 20:00, 2 July 2017 (CEST)

The Custodians[edit source]

Are you certain there are no gifts from the Custodians? I distinctly recall they gave me the Ancient Data Caches buff (for no apparent reason) in one of my first Synthetic Dawn games. Neruz (talk) 8:17, 15 October 2017 (CEST)

I found not gift event in their personal Fallen Empire file. It could be that they are still eligible to grant gifts of other FE (like the Materialist ones), but I never quite fully analysed that one. I was planning of getting into that anyway. --The Founder (talk) 14:17, 15 October 2017 (CEST)

Apologies for my spelling and lack of proper inclusion of media in new pages[edit source]

I wanted to apologize for all the times where I create a page, but utterly failed at doing any form of spellchecking. Or adding proper images to the page. Usually I am too focussed on getting the facts right and structure patch/change resistant to do that too. And my wiki-fu does not include full undertanding on how to upload images in the first place. I think I could link them, however. --The Founder (talk) 02:58, 14 December 2018 (CET)
